The Algerian Taking The Literary World By Storm
An Algerian author, who goes by the pen name Sarah Rivens and identifies as “The Blurred Girl,” has generated buzz in Algeria and France due to her online literary success. At just 24 years old, Rivens has become one of the most widely read Algerian writers of all time, with her three French novels topping bestseller and e-book charts in France.
Rivens’ debut novel, Captive, garnered over 9 million reads on Wattpad, and her follow-up novel amassed over 8 million reads. Despite being available for free online, her books have sold hundreds of thousands of copies, been translated into nine languages, and have surpassed sales of Prince Harry’s book Spare, racking up over €3.5 million ($3.8 million) in profits in France alone.
The true identity of the Blurred Girl remains unknown, although it is believed that she works as an administrative agent at a sports center in Algiers, the capital city of Algeria.
