Algeria ranks 40th in the latest FIFA Ranking

In the latest FIFA Men’s Rankings, which are updated on a monthly basis, Algeria is ranked at the 40th spot and 7th in Africa. Morocco tops the list of African countries coming at the 11th spot after their historical results at the world cup, while Tunisia ranks 3rd behind Morocco and Senegal.

This ranking is based on their performances in recent international matches and their consistency in tournaments.

In the past years, Algeria has performed exceptionally well in the Africa Cup of Nations, having won the tournament once in 1990, also reached the final in 1980 and 2019. Furthermore, Algeria has also qualified for three world cup in 1982,1986, and 2019, but missed on 2022 at the last minutes against Cameron.
